Liminal

“Forget your perfect offering, There is a crack in everything, That’s how the light gets in” – Leonard Cohen

‘The Dash’, that little horizontal line suspended in the space between two opposites. It represents a void, a pause, transience, the space in between, liminality. This series navigates the liminal, an unsettling space, one illuminated by the Zen Buddhist concepts of mu (crudely translated as emptiness) and ma (crudely translated as space) and complemented by Wabi-Sabi, the appreciation of asymmetry, irregularity and imperfection.
